Hurray for the whoop-de-doo!

Being a parent has its own difficulties: it’s tiring and there are always a lot of doubts. She’s a reflection of me and it’s not always my good qualities I see: sometimes I’m impatient, a bit unwise, but luckily it seems I am funny. For 6 years there has been no better feeling than when I hear her laughter, except for when we laugh together.

In May we started to work on a very exciting project that really fits us. We had the chance to create a genuine campaign about real families for real families, for a big, traditional Hungarian brand call Baba.
Our message is there is nothing better for your family than these imperfect everyday moments. These – sometimes clumsy – situations makes the essence of your family and your happiness.
If you take a closer look at the movie, you will surely recognize the atmosphere of one or two of my photos in the scenes, and if you look even closer, you will recognize my own family too.
Our little narrator is a miracle and i am so proud of her: I was amazed at the courage and joy she had in front of the camera and the microphone.

I participated in the project as a copywriter, werk photographer and assistant of the director (and as the narrator’s Mom).
Even after years of agency work, this was the most exciting campaign I have ever worked on. And not just because of the fake snow scene, but because I got to work with friends and family, on a campaign we believe in and that we can be proud of.

And if you want to look behind the scenes, see how such an unpredictable commercial was made and who Santa asked to bring the snow look at the slideshow from the 3-day shooting.

Hurray for the whoop-de-doo, especially at Xmas time!
